BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB :

The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer independently leads cross-functional Lean Six Sigma and digitalization projects to deliver measurable cost, quality, and productivity improvements. This position applies advanced CI tools, mentors junior engineers, and supports the CI Manager in achieving departmental objectives and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1-Continuous Improvement Management – 50%

• Assists in driving CI initiatives in alignment with business strategies.

• Lead multiple CI/Lean Six Sigma projects across departments aligned with site objectives.

• Monitor departmental KPIs/Reports and continuous improvement activities.

• Identify improvement opportunities and define project scopes with measurable KPIs.

• Apply data-driven methodologies to reduce waste, variation, and cycle time.

• Facilitate problem-solving and analysis of specific improvement opportunities to implement sustainable solutions.

• Develop and maintain systems for Idea creations, Project initiatives, Recognitions and Rewards

• Act as a Change Agent to help establish a Continuous Improvement culture.

• Coach and mentor junior engineers or project members on CI tools.

2-Industrial 4.0 Strategic Plan Development & Implementation – 30%

• Support i4.0 strategic planning and implementation of digitalization and automation initiatives.

• Enhance data visualization follow strategic planning from showing current data to get the insights of data (correlations between the relationship of variables, insight of value/ behaviour, risk metrics, trending, ability to react to changes...)

• Assists in the use of agile, data-driven, and digital solutions to achieve strategic goals.

• Participate in development, execution, or supporting digital transformation strategies and new technology initiatives.

• Identify learning opportunities for applying digital transformation technologies.

• Assists in managing the cultural impact of adopting new technologies.

3-Quotation – 10%

• Complete the quotation requirement for modules from the originator with due date is 1 week from the receive date

• Work with Lead Accountant to arrange the quantity quotation that need to be implemented and evaluate the result of the quotation

4-Training & Culture Development – 10%

• Conduct CI training and awareness sessions for operators or engineers.

• Support annual CI event coordination (Kaizen events, Waste elimination campaign…).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science is required. A major Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Additional qualification/Certificate related to Quality Management is a plus (e.g.: qualified auditor, Lean Six Sigma Black or Green belt…) is preferred.

Experience

• At least 5 year CI/Lean manufacturing management experiences in multi-national company

• Strong experience with data analytics tools (Minitab, Power BI, MS Project, Excel).

Abilities

• Good in English listening, speaking, reading and writing

• Capability to promote team-working and collaboration among the different functions both at local and Group level.

• Deep understanding and have and experienced about:

• Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Wastes, VSM, SMED, 6S, Poka-yoke, PDCA, DMAIC, SIPOC, FMEA, DOE…).

• Power BI, Power Automate.

• Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.

• Capable of analysing process data and interpreting statistical results.

• Having knowledge of the ISO (9001, 14001, Knowledge of IATF 16949 is a plus.)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
