(Senior) Architect

The Role: Senior Architect (BD-PM)

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Architect to support the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects while contributing to the Company’s business development and client engagement activities.

This position will work closely with architectural, engineering, project management and business development teams to manage projects, maintain client relationships, support proposal preparation and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

- Lead and coordinate projects from concept design through detailed design and project delivery;

- Manage project scope, programme, deliverables, resources and design coordination requirements;

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and internal multidisciplinary teams;

- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and support the timely resolution of technical and coordination matters;

- Review project deliverables to ensure quality and consistency;

- Ensure design solutions comply with applicable codes, regulations, client requirements and project objectives;

- Prepare and deliver project presentations, design reports, meeting materials and progress updates;

- Support project managers and discipline leaders in managing project performance, commercial matters and client expectations;

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior architect and project team members.

2. Business Development and Client Engagement

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, consultants and business partners;

- Participate in client meetings, networking activities, presentations and business development events;

- Identify potential project opportunities and provide market or client intelligence to the management team;

- Manage the preparation of expressions of interest, capability statements, fee proposals, tender submissions and project presentations;

- Work with technical teams to develop appropriate project approaches, scopes of services, manpower resource plans and fee assumptions;

- Represent the Company professionally when communicating with clients, partners and external stakeholders;

- Support the development of sector strategies and business opportunities in areas aligned with the Company’s architectural and multidisciplinary capabilities.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Architecture;

- Registered Architect or relevant professional practicing certificate is preferred;

- Project Management certification or formal project management training is an advantage.

Minimum Years/Type of Experience

- 10 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design and project delivery;

- Proven experience managing design or construction projects, multidisciplinary teams and external consultants;

- Experience delivering medium- to large-scale projects through multiple design and construction stages;

- Proven experience in client management, project coordination, programme management and design delivery;

- Previous exposure to business development, proposal preparation, tender submissions or client engagement is preferred. Candidates without direct business development experience should demonstrate strong commercial awareness and a clear interest in developing business development capabilities;

- Experience working in an international, multidisciplinary design consultancy environment is preferred.

Language Proficiency

- English: Excellent spoken and written is essential.

o Able to independently and confidently lead meetings, presentations, and professional correspondence in English.

o Able to prepare clear and professional reports, proposals, presentations and client communications.

- Vietnamese: Native / Bilingual;

- Additional languages: Fluency in other languages is an advantage.

Technical Competencies

- Strong architectural design, technical coordination and project delivery knowledge;

- Sound understanding of architectural design processes from concept through construction;

- Ability to review drawings, specifications, design reports and consultant submissions;

- Strong multidisciplinary coordination capability across architecture, structure, MEP, infrastructure and specialist disciplines;

- Ability to develop project scopes, work programmes, deliverable schedules and resource plans.

- Understanding of project fees, resource allocation, variations and commercial considerations.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office and presentation software.

- Familiarity with BIM processes and common design collaboration platforms is preferred.
