Retail Sales Associate

JOB SUMMARY

The Retail Sales Associate supports the Store Management team in achieving store sales targets while ensuring brand standards in customer service, selling, visual merchandising, and store operations. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support Store Management team in meeting or exceeding store sales targets.

• Initiate contact with customers and ensure they feel welcome in the store by delivering exceptional selling skills and customer service.

• Ensure all cash handling is accurate while facilitating superior checkout experience.

2. Work with the Store Management team to achieve brand standards in customer service, selling, product presentation, merchandising, and operations.

• Drive the selling efforts and customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and selling techniques

• Assess the needs of the customer and provide appropriate level of service and product expertise

• Use effective communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships

3. Support the Store Management team in maintaining brand standards in product presentation, merchandising, and store operations.

• Ensure all visual merchandising standards are followed, daily replenishment is completed, and adequate size runs are maintained in accordance with brand standards.

• Manage back-of-house operations and participate in store cleaning duties where required.

• Responsible for assisting in other store functions as needed

• Ensure all visual merchandising directives, promotions, and markdowns are completed and executed in a timely manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned when needed.

4. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Coordinate with internal team and relevant internal departments to support smooth daily store operations.

• Communicate professionally with customers to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

• Work with suppliers and other external partners as required to support store operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Tertiary or higher qualification.

• At least 01 year experience in retail sales.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

• Good command of written and spoken English is an advantage.

Personal qualities/skills

• Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, proactiveness, and stress management skills.

• Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Physically able to move around the sales floor, stockroom, and store office, including twisting, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and lifting – up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).

• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, are an advantage.

• General knowledge of Onitsuka Tiger products is preferred.

• Flexible working evenings, weekends, public holidays, and store opening/closing shifts according to business needs.
