QC Painting

·         Read to get understanding of project specification requirements.

·         Prepare and read all required Standards.

·         Prepare & submit to Client the preliminary document: Painting ITPs, Yard Painting procedure, Painting report forms.

·         Read all Product Data Sheet & Safety Data Sheet.

·         Attend the pre-job meeting to make clarify all unclear requirement in specification.

·         Overview the general preparation to make sure the compliance to projects required before coating works: Yard systems/equipment, Material storage condition, abrasive type, Painter/Blaster workmanship, Coating Quality test equipment (work condition & calibration).

·         Review the ability of sub-contractor, comment for improvement if any.

·         Read all relative project drawings to catch the structure detail & coating system will be applied.

·         Test the cleanliness of abrasive before blasting jobs.

·         Witness the Panel testing to verify the quality of coating system which applied on projects.

·         Check the pre-cleaning condition before surface preparation: solvent cleaning, oil & grease or other contaminants condition, high pressure water washing.

·         To control ambient condition during blasting process.

·         Check the surface preparation before coating application: cleanliness, surface profile, surface dust assessment, surface salt level base on projects specification and required standards.

·         Witness paint mixing, record material batch number.

Witness coating application process including relative humidity and weather controlling

·         Check WFT when spraying.

·         Check stripe coating works.

·         Quality inspection of coat-by-coat condition.

·         Visual check the final surface condition of coating to find out the current surface defects for repairing runs, sags, crack, wrinkle, dry spray, pinholes, bubble, discontinuous, discoloration, mechanical damages, contaminants, curing condition, etc.

·         Non-destructive test: Dry film thickness checking.

·         Carry out destructive test base on requirements of project specification and required standards: Adhesion test by pull-off dollies, by cross cut or "X" cut, thickness check by Took gauge, discontinuity test by High Voltage Detector.

·         Work with Paint Manufacturer Technicians to determine and solve any additional problems during coating activities.

·         Call for client representative approval for all coating works.

·         Record all coating activities, inspection & test result to personal daily logbook. Change all these data to Painting reports.

·         Make non-conformance report if any incompliance to project specification or procedure.

·         Review & re-correct the coating report from sub-contractor.

·         Sign off and submit all project coating report to client for approval.

·         Minimum 03-year experiences in same position

·         Experience in implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001; BGAS, FROSIO, NACE

·         Have good under standing and implementation of Labor Code, Firefighting and Protection Law, Environment Law

·         University degree in technology

Basic knowledge about Painting and surface treatment.
