At Outpost24, quality isn't a phase at the end of the pipeline — it's built into how we develop software from day one. We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer who wants to own quality end-to-end as an embedded member of a product development team, not as an external gatekeeper, to work in our beautiful office in Hanoi, Vietnam.

 

This is a role for someone who thinks of test automation as a craft, is genuinely excited about AI-assisted development, and wants to shape how a modern engineering team defines and delivers quality.

 

What you'll be doing

Embedded directly in a cross-functional product team, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with developers and product owners to build quality in from the start. That means:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
• Contributing to test strategies that balance automation coverage with targeted manual exploration
• Contributing to requirements and acceptance criteria early — not validating them late
• Actively participating in our AI-first development programme (ADLC), using AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test creation, coverage analysis, and refactoring
• Helping establish and evolve quality practices across the team — and sharing what works with the wider engineering organization

Your Skills and Experience

What we're looking for

We're open to both experienced engineers and motivated mid-level engineers who are serious about the craft. The strongest candidates will bring:

• A solid foundation in software testing principles, with a rigorous, detail-oriented mindset
• Strong test automation skills, ideally with Python3; experience with Cypress or Playwright for UI automation is a plus
• Experience with one or more of the following languages: TypeScript, Python 3, Golang, or Java
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools — not just openness, but curiosity and initiative in applying them
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
• Cyber security domain knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement
• Clear written and spoken English
• A collaborative, humble attitude and a habit of continuous learning
