Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager who is a skilled leader who will drive the successful delivery of multiple projects across diverse domains within our IT services and consulting business. You will be responsible for ensuring that multiple projects, across various domains, are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations. Your leadership will guide cross-functional teams through complex project lifecycles, adapting to the most suitable methodology for each unique project.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies based on project needs, scope, and client requirements.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews) for Agile-based projects and lead Waterfall project planning sessions, ensuring smooth project execution across all stages.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define and refine project goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop, track, and update detailed project plans for both Agile and Waterfall projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Ensure proper risk management processes are in place for both Agile and Waterfall projects, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Drive resource allocation, making sure that teams are properly staffed and projects stay on track.
• Ensure transparency in project status, risks, and issues by providing regular, clear communication to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor project teams on both Agile and Waterfall best practices, promoting an environment of continuous improvement and learning.
• Facilitate the integration of Agile and Waterfall practices when necessary, ensuring a seamless transition between methodologies as required by specific project phases.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and projects are delivered within financial constraints.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, managing their expectations and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and business needs.

Your Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or similar certifications.
• 6+ years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years leading Agile projects and 3+ years managing Waterfall projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects using both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall principles, with the ability to apply the appropriate methodology based on project needs and client requirements.
• Expertise in managing large-scale IT projects with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.) and an understanding of how to use them across both Agile and Waterfall projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in risk management, resource planning, scheduling, and budgeting for large projects.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in scaling Agile practices (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) for large organizations.
• Familiarity with hybrid project management approaches that blend Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with cloud-based development environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and modern software development tools.
• Previous experience in IT services or consulting industries is a plus.
