Project Engineer Senior Executive - Malaysia Real Estate Developer

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer Senior Executive to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer Senior Executive is responsible for supervising and monitoring civil and structural works at project sites to ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. This role works closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project progress, construction quality, and compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Management Support

- Support higher level engineers in project management, performing necessary work to ensure the project is under control.

- Participate in supporting the planning, implementation and monitoring stages of the project.

2. Document Works

- Prepare and manage project documents, including storing, organizing and updating necessary documents.

- Carry out checking of project documents and payment documents.

3. Reporting Works

- Support in preparing and submitting regular and unscheduled reports during project implementation.

- Coordinate with relevant divisions/departments to ensure reports are completed on time and accurately.

4. Communication and Coordination

- Assist in contact with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure project information is communicated accurately and promptly.

- Participate in project meetings and record meeting minutes when necessary.

5. Others

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager or higher-level management.

Education background:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field

Experience & knowledge:

- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in civil and structural construction supervision, site management, or related roles.

- Experience in high-rise buildings, residential developments, mixed-use developments, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works, quality control processes, and construction regulations.

- Familiarity with project management processes, construction sequencing, and contractor management.

Technical skills:

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Project.

- Ability to review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents.

- Good understanding of construction quality control, inspection procedures, and site documentation.

- Ability to prepare technical reports, progress reports, and site records accurately.

Soft skills:

- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and effectively under project deadlines and site pressures.

Others:

- Good command of English (must have).

- Willingness to work at construction sites and travel as required by project needs.
