Project Engineer

Daily Operation of Department (Functional Work)

• Prepare project execution strategy/plan including contracting strategy, project organization, cost management, CAPEX, schedule, etc.

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope of work, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

• Ensure that the project follows approved mandatory and required project management system and assurance processes, including risk, permit and consents, change control and interface control.

• Ensure strict adherence to project quality, health, safety, environmental, cost, and schedule guidelines in both engineering/design and construction environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and challenges that arise during project execution.

• Monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverables to ensure the contract schedule.

• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

• Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure that the final product or deliverable meets the required standards.

• Maintain reports, correspondences, and meeting minutes.

• Manage and update project deliverables related to new or revamping facilities.

Procurement

• Support tender preparation, pre-qualification, tendering, bid evaluation and clarification for contracts.

Budget

• Monitor project budgets and budget phasing for update and registration of yearly budget.

Report

• Prepare and present regular progress reports and updates to project managers and other stakeholders.

Policy and Procedure

• Ensure that all project activities comply with applicable policies and procedures.

Building Capability of Teams

• Provide guidance and technical resources for younger engineers.

Other Tasks

• Perform other tasks as assigned by Department Manager or other superiors.

University Graduated

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering design or project management within the oil and gas industry.

English

TOEIC 600 or equivalent.

Job Knowledge

Preferred knowledge and experience in process or mechanical engineering design, as well as project management.

Skills

• Experience in the use of software such as Primavera and AutoCAD software.

• Report writing and presentation skills.

• Clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Planning and Scheduling: Developing project plans, timelines, and schedules.
