BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

Provide operational support for production problems in the designated

Assembly manufacturing areas. Collaborate with process engineers, planners,

purchasers, HR, and others to make production efficient, increase

productivity, and limit waste, material usage, utility, and other expenses.

Daily follow-up production schedule to plan for manpower, equipment &

factory supply to ensure good product and on-time delivery.

Support training and manpower planning to meet mass production volume or

ramp-up requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Manufacturing supervising — 45%

• Daily review production schedule and react to production problems in real time to ensure timely delivery of the products, and production output meets the target

• Daily review production schedule with the planner to minimize WIP and implement JIT

• Do cost reduction by efficient material usage, setup change, training and human error, power and facility saving

• Manage & control tool to make sure enough for production and the right store & maintenance conditions

• Arrange manpower, equipment or another source to minimize production lead-time and parts delivered as promised time and on time

• Ensure production factory supplies are ordered on time for manufacturing needs and the factory supply, tool expense cost rate is within budget.

• Review headcount by production volume, then work with HR for operator interviews and hiring.

• Support trainer to review schedule and define training needs for on-job training, quality, EHS training or another

• Check and provide corrective action for work order variance, floor stock adjustment if they do not meet the target.

2- Quality Control — 30%

• Check and ensure that the operators follow procedures during operation for each workstation.

• Check to ensure that parts are within spec before delivery to the next process step or shipment. Provide corrective action if the escaping ppm to the assembly is higher than the target

• To control the process according to ISO requirements and take action for ISO, TS, and customer audit

• Daily control yield to meet targets and check Nonconformance Pareto to provide proper corrective action

• To make sure that SPC is using efficient and corrective action on the control chart is implemented properly

• To work with the process engineer to analyze and increase in yield and reduce the rework rate

3- Human Resource, Manufacturing Development & Improvement — 15%

• Weekly review production schedule to make plan for overtime working, and working overtime compliant with laws

• Human performance control and recognition, support line for operators' performance appraisal

• Review the training matrix and production forecast to request cross-training for flexible production capacity.

• Build teamwork and solve conflict issues within employees and focus on employee satisfaction

• Use time study, motion study & lean manufacturing to improve OEE, productivity, Line of Balance & production lead-time

• Develop key employees at each process step to do more complicated jobs or Jobs requiring higher skills

4- Report & documentation — 5%

• Develop & maintain database and management system to support quality, performance appraisal and shop floor control

• Daily production report status to the production manager. Provide action to take if production does not meet the target or the WO can not close as promised

• Finish monthly report on time and present the result to the team, including production output, Work order Variance, floor stock adjustment, Productivity and expense…

5- Other — 5%

• Daily check safety requirements to make sure the operator wears PPE as a procedure requirement during the operation process.

• To make sure the ventilation and dust collecting system is working properly and the waste disposition is the correct process

• Train, maintain 5S at the production floor and join 5S audit if requested

• Support special projects as required.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, preferably from Mechanical Engineering /Industrial Engineering or another engineering with Industrial Management experience.

Experience

• Typically, 2-5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

• 1+ - 3+years of managerial/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Scope of work

• Understanding of technical drawing and basic engineering principles to manufacture parts in a high-volume setting.

• Ability to determine work & assign jobs to subordinates on a support manufacturing job day by day.

• Ability to lead staff and set appropriate goals to achieve department business results through yearly complete assignments.

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production problems effectively and timely manner in a production setting.

• Ability to lead and motivate people, as well as train operators

• Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customers’ needs in a manner that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources

• Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email, internet access, and SPC software.
