Mechanical Lead (Owner's Team)

Key Responsibilities

• Review and provide technical comments on FEED documents prepared by engineering consultants, ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, operability and maintainability.

• Support EPC tendering by evaluating bidders' technical proposals, design philosophy, material take-off/Bill of Materials, Bill of Quantities, construction methodology, organization chart, manpower plan, schedule, and technical deviations.

• Participate in technical clarification meetings and provide recommendation for bidder selection.

• During EPC execution, review and approve engineering deliverables within delegated authority.

• Monitor engineering progress, technical issues, procurement status (where relevant), and construction readiness.

• Act as the technical focal point between contractors involving in project and resolve interface issues.

• Coordinate with other groups to ensure integrated design.

• Work at site as supervisor and/or filed engineer if project requires. Support FAT/SAT, commissioning and handover as required.

• Prepare technical reports and participate in project meetings.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, EPC or owner's engineering for heavy industry (steel, mining, power, cement, petrochemical or similar).

• Experience with FEED, EPC bidding and EPC execution.

• Good understanding of international and Vietnamese codes and standards.

• Able to review engineering documents independently and communicate effectively in English. Able communication in Chinese is an advantage.

• Experience/knowledge in piping system and equipment (rotating/static) in steel, cement or similar industrial plant.

• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, installation and commissioning
