Logistics Manager

1. Position Overview

The Logistics Manager plays a critical role in Huawei's global supply chain operations. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all logistics and transportation activities to ensure efficient movement of goods across Huawei's worldwide network. The role demands strong leadership, deep supply chain expertise, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

2. Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Coordination

- Coordinate end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple regions, ensuring seamless integration between procurement, warehousing, and distribution.

- Develop and maintain logistics strategies aligned with Huawei's business goals and market expansion plans.

Transportation Management

- Manage air, ocean, rail, and road freight operations to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times.

- Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and freight forwarders.

Inventory Control

- Monitor and control inventory levels across warehouses and distribution centers to minimize carrying costs while maintaining service levels.

- Implement demand forecasting models and safety stock policies.

Supplier & Vendor Management

- Evaluate, select, and manage logistics vendors and suppliers based on performance metrics, cost efficiency, and compliance.

- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews.

Compliance & Safety Management

- Ensure all logistics operations comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and Huawei's internal policies.

- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all logistics activities.

Cost Control & Optimization

- Develop and manage logistics budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce logistics costs without compromising service quality.

Team Building & Leadership

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing logistics team.

- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

- Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the technology or telecommunications industry.

- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.

- Hands-on experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).

- Strong understanding of international trade compliance, customs clearance procedures, and Incoterms.

- Professional certifications (CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, or PMP) are highly desirable.
