Legal Advisor (Ho Chi Minh Base)

- This role will be fully responsible for assisting the VN Legal Lead in providing legal services for NGF Project and Ha Nam/Ninh Binh Plant at later stage and also to provide full 360 support on implementation and continuous enforceability of new PDPA laws in Vietnam. Capex spend portfolio of North Greenfield project is about $85.0MM. Additionally, this role will be also assisting Vietnam Legal Lead in supporting Agro expansion plan to the North. This NGF project and Ha Nam/Ninh Binh Plant are extremely critical for VNF to deliver our business objectives to become the market leader in snack category in 5 year and 10-year SSD of Vietnam Foods business.
- This role will be fully responsible for assisting the VN Legal Lead in providing legal services for NGF Project and Ha Nam/Ninh Binh Plant at later stage. The role is legal business partner for NGF Project and Ha Nam Plant operations. The role shall be responsible for identifying and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure implementation of legal agenda in NGF project and Ha Nam/Ninh Binh Plant at later stage, also sharing C&E tasks where required.
- At the NGF project phase, the role will assist Vietnam Legal Lead and work with NGF Project Manager, NGF Department Heads (HR, Security, EHS, Production), external consultant and construction contractor/sub-contractors for legal works under NGF Project.
- At the Ha Nam Plant phase, this role is legal business partner of the Ha Nam Plant of ~300 employees, mainly responsible for:
- Legal research and general legal advice;
- Contract review and approval for assigned departments;
- Licensing and permitting;
- Employment issues;
- SOPs, guideline;
- POA management;
- Legal training + Compliance training;
- Data Privacy contact point for Vietnam Foods MU;
- Legal admin work (legal filings, PR, PO, Payments, reports).
- This role will also engage with BU Legal (Business Unit) to leverage legal best practice, conduct legal reporting.

- Legal qualification, minimum 5-7 years+ of experience
- Good legal knowledge and ability in contract review, legal drafting, legal research, legal advice;
- Ability to understand the business and balance business needs with legal and ethical obligations;
- Highly proactive; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both orally and in writing
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Fluency in English & Vietnamese both spoken & written
- Strong Project Management and Negotiation Skills
- Demonstrate competency skills with the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both orally and in writing.
