Lab Vice Manager (Garment)

Supervise and control the fabric inspection process to ensure inspection activities run efficiently and comply with company standards.
Participate in pre-production and start-up meetings to identify potential issues, define inspection requirements, and provide solutions related to raw material quality.
Plan and prioritize internal laboratory operations, set departmental targets, and guide staff to perform inspection tasks effectively.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance in collaboration with related departments; recommend improvements or take corrective actions when supplier performance does not meet standards.
Review and authorize inspection reports, taking responsibility for decisions related to fabric quality and inspection outcomes.
Support problem solving during cutting and production stages when quality issues occur.
Prepare and review laboratory reports and records, and submit them to relevant departments when required.
Develop quarterly and annual departmental plans based on customer complaints, audit results, defect rates, and other quality indicators to meet customer expectations.
Oversee administrative tasks within the department and motivate the team to improve productivity and performance.
Perform other tasks assigned by management related to laboratory and quality operations.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Textile, Garment Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position in garment manufacturing companies.
Good English communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
Strong experience in bulk fabric inspection and the 4-point inspection system.
Experience in sewing and packing trim inspection and testing.
Knowledge of basic fabric testing methods such as GSM, stretch & recovery, crocking, shrinkage, and washing tests.
