IE Team Leader

2. Job Purpose

Responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure efficient factory operations aligned with business targets.

3. Key Responsibilities

3.1. Team Management & Development

• Lead, manage, and develop the IE team (Staff/Supervisors)
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct evaluations
• Build and strengthen IE capabilities within the factory

3.2. Process Improvement & Productivity Enhancement

• Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives
• Optimize factory layout, line balancing, and manpower planning
• Develop and standardize SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

3.3. Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

• Establish and monitor KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, and utilization
• Analyze production data to drive continuous improvement
• Utilize ERP/SAP systems and data analysis tools

3.4. Standard Time & Costing

• Develop and maintain standard time (SMV) and labor standards
• Support production costing and improve cost efficiency
• Evaluate feasibility for new products and processes

3.5. Production Support & Projects

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Planning teams to meet targets
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Propose and implement automation solutions where applicable

4. Job Requirements

4.1. Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields
• At least 5 years of IE experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Experience in manufacturing environments (footwear, garment, foam, or similar industries is preferred)

4.2. Skills

• Strong knowledge of IE tools: time study, work study, line balancing
• Good data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI is a plus)
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is an advantage
• Good English communication skills (for working with international teams)
