Tuyển dụng HR Lead — Vietnam New Business Units tại Hồ Chí Minh

The Role

We're looking for an HR Lead to build and run people operations for two new business units launching in the Vietnamese market.

This isn't a maintenance role at an established company, you'll be setting up the function itself: recruiting the founding teams, building HR processes and policy from zero, and working closely with leadership as the entities stand up.

What You'll Own

• Full-cycle recruiting for both new business units, from JD to offer

• Building HR infrastructure (onboarding, policy, contracts, compliance) from scratch for entities that don't have it yet

• Local entity coordination as the Vietnam legal structures are established

• Direct partnership with the founder and leadership on hiring decisions and team structure during the 0-to-1 build phase

• Experience at a recruiting agency or executive search firm strongly preferred

• Real 0-to-1 experience: you've built a team or a function from nothing, not just operated within an HR department at an established, large company

• Strong English communication, spoken and written: this role reports directly to the founder and represents the company externally to candidates and partners

• Real experience setting up Vietnam legal entities and navigating Vietnamese Labor Law compliance, not just familiarity with local hiring norms at a company that already has its structure in place

• Comfortable operating with minimal oversight and process, someone who moves on their own judgment rather than needing structure handed to them, in a fast-moving, founder-led environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities

How We Work

• This role operates with a lot of autonomy, and we pair that with lightweight accountability:

• End-of-day and weekly written reports (weekly due Saturday EOD) summarizing progress and priorities

• ActivityWatch (open-source, privacy-respecting time tracking, no screenshots, data stays on your device) running on your work device

• Responsive during core working hours (9am-6pm Vietnam Time): reachable via IM/Zoom, typically within the hour
