Heat Setting & Coating Process Technical Engineer

Description:

In the early stage, an integrated heat-setting & coating machine may be used. Candidates are preferred to have knowledge of both heat setting and coating processes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the design and optimization of heat setting and coating processes; select suitable coating formulations and auxiliaries based on fabric characteristics.

2. Proficient in controlling key parameters such as temperature, speed, overfeed, tension, and fabric width to ensure coating uniformity and finished product quality.

3. Familiar with the operation and adjustment of heat-setting machines and coating machines to ensure smooth production flow.

4. Accurately identify coating types contained in fabrics and determine appropriate processes and material solutions based on fabric properties or customer requirements.

Job Requirements

1. Degree or higher: major in Textile Engineering, Polymer Materials, or related fields.

2. Strong expertise in coating formulation design and auxiliary selection with extensive hands-on experience.

3. Familiar with the operation and maintenance of heat-setting and coating equipment; good understanding of coating processes.

4. Strong data analysis skills; able to develop appropriate process solutions based on fabric characteristics.

Detail-oriented, responsible, with good communication and coordination skills.

Knowledge, Skill Requirement：

• Familiar with at least one textile process (weaving, DTY, coating, etc.) including equipment operation and basic process principles.

• Able to understand the relationship between fabric specifications (e.g. width, raw materials) and production processes.

• Strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in multiple textile production processes.

• Basic problem identification and troubleshooting skills.

• Careful, detail-oriented, and responsible working attitude.

• Experience in new production line setup or new equipment commissioning is a plus.
