GIS Engineer

●       Work collaboratively with project teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality GIS system integration solutions based on standard frameworks and best practices.

●       Partner with internal teams to develop and support effective integration solutions such as Billing, SCADA, OMS, or other enterprise applications

●       Work closely with data analysts/architects to understand enterprise processes and models.

●       Analyze integration requirements and design integration architecture, data flows, interface specifications, API structures, ETL workflows, middleware connections, and database integration approaches.

●       Develop or coordinate the development of integration components using REST APIs, web services, Python scripts, SQL scripts, ETL tools, message queues, or middleware platforms.

●       Work with GIS platforms and spatial databases such as enterprise geodatabases, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, or other enterprise databases.

●       Create, maintain and publish technical documentation, runbooks and standards.

●       Support production applications and assist other project teams with their solution development

●       Secure the movement of sensitive information in a manner consistent with company policy

●       Bachelor’s degree in GIS, IT, or other related fields.

●       At least 2 years of experience in GIS, enterprise system integration, data integration, ETL, or enterprise application implementation.

●       Experience with GIS platforms such as Esri platform, or similar enterprise GIS platforms.

●       Experience with integration and/or ETL solutions.

●       Experience with REST API, JSON, XML, SQL, database views, stored procedures, ETL, web services, or middleware-based integration.

●       Experience with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python or JavaScript.

●       Good troubleshooting skills in data synchronization, API errors, database issues, and system integration problems.

●       Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

●       Experience integrating GIS with Billing, CIS, SCADA, ERP, CRM, OMS, EAM, or IoT systems.

●       Experience with Utility Network is a strong advantage.

●       Experience with Spatial ETL tools or Python libraries for spatial data (Geopandas, ArcPy) is a plus.

●       Knowledge of authentication and security mechanisms such as OAuth2, token-based authentication, SSO, Active Directory, HTTPS, API Gateway, and role-based access control is a plus.

●       Experience in utility, oil and gas, or government projects is preferred.
