General Principal (Head of School)

The General Principal (Head of School) serves as the chief educational and executive leader of Wellspring Hanoi, responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring academic excellence, fostering a positive school culture, and leading the continued growth of the school community.

The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in international or bilingual school leadership, strong expertise in international curricula, and a passion for developing students, faculty, and educational programs to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the school's long-term strategic vision and growth plans.

• Lead institutional development while preserving and strengthening Wellspring’s educational philosophy and values.

• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across all aspects of school operations.

2. Academic Excellence

• Ensure the successful implementation and continuous enhancement of internationally recognized curricula, including IB, Cambridge, and/or College Board programs.

• Maintain rigorous academic standards and a culture of excellence throughout the school.

• Drive student achievement and university readiness, including admission to highly selective and globally recognized universities.

3. School Culture & Community

• Foster a student-centered learning environment where every learner can thrive through personalized educational pathways.

• Build a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture that prioritizes student well-being and happiness.

• Strengthen partnerships with families, faculty, staff, and the broader school community.

4. People Leadership

• Inspire, develop, and empower faculty and staff to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate preferred) in Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.

• Significant senior leadership experience within reputable international or bilingual schools.

• Demonstrated success in leading international educational programs, including IB, Cambridge, and/or College Board curricula.

• Experience managing international accreditation processes such as WASC, CIS, or equivalent.

• Proven ability to drive academic excellence and strong student outcomes.
