General Manager (Factory Setup - Modular products)

Company Overview

Our client is a newly established foreign-invested manufacturer specializing in modular and prefabricated construction solutions.

The new manufacturing facility in Hung Yen is being developed to produce high-quality modular solutions for export to Australia and New Zealand, with two main product lines: Modular Space Pods - Bathroom Pods

This is a greenfield manufacturing project with an initial expansion plan of more than 100 employees and an annual production capacity exceeding 10,000 units, offering a unique opportunity to build and scale a factory from the ground up.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the overseas CEO, the General Manager will lead the establishment and overall operation of the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the factory setup and production ramp-up.

• Build the organization structure and recruit key management personnel.

• Oversee manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain and logistics.

• Establish operational systems, processes and KPIs.

• Manage budgeting, operational costs and full P&L responsibility.

• Ensure production, quality, delivery and cost targets are consistently achieved.

• Coordinate technology transfer and production implementation with international engineering teams.

• Ensure compliance with international quality standards and customer requirements.

• Report directly to the overseas CEO and executive leadership team.

• Minimum 10 years of senior manufacturing or operations leadership experience.

• Proven experience in factory setup, greenfield projects or factory expansion.

• Strong background in OEM, contract manufacturing or export-oriented manufacturing.

• Demonstrated experience managing full factory operations with P&L responsibility.

• Strong leadership and organization-building capability.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Mandarin is an advantage.

• Experience in modular construction, prefabrication, building materials, steel fabrication, metal fabrication, bathroom products or related manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
