Electrical Engineer

JOB PROFILE SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the support of production activities for Boyd’s system level products like TCU/CDU/RMF etc. The individual will ensure all products meet customer requirements during manufacturing processes. The engineer will use technical electrical knowledge to evaluate, troubleshoot, modify, and test electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

Boyd is developing innovative thermal test solutions for the semiconductor industry. The engineering team is seeking to grow our multi-disciplined engineering team to tackle new challenges in the industry and is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to fill a critical role within the team. General Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will be a member of a multi-discipled engineering team to provide innovative support thermal test solutions to the semiconductor industry. The position is responsible for sustaining engineering and engineering support of production activities. The engineer will also be involved in supporting products already in the field.

This engineer will work closely with manufacturing personnel to support existing production lines, trouble shoot processes and products that do not conform to existing requirements. The engineer will be responsible for implementing changes to correct any issues found.

The role will include:

Creating, modifying, or analyzing electrical product designs within an inter-disciplinary team to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges.

Become the technical expert for production test processes, assist test technicians with troubleshooting of production test issues and promote process improvement in production test processes.

• Selects electrical components, creates schematics, performs PCB layout, and assists in finding vendors to fabricate designed PCBs.

• Leads feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.

• Develops and carries out test plans, engineering analysis, qualification testing required for production launch.

• Responsible for failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations

• Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons learned; produce design reports, test reports, operating instructions (SOP/SIP), and testing procedures.

• Leads and/or is a member of a team that includes senior engineers/managers for the purpose of engaging with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget.

Experience/Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant work experience

- Competent in use of Schematic Capture and PCB design tools

- Demonstrated experience in board-level analog power electronic circuit design.

- Demonstrated experience in board-level digital electronic circuit design.

- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing board-level electronic circuit problems.

- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.

- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation in English.

- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.

- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.

Additional/Better to have skill

- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium Preferred)

- Firmware development

- HMI programming

- MES system implementation
