Design & Sample Development Supervisor

Job Description:

1. Product Development:

• Lead the development of new products based on customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.

• Review product feasibility for manufacturing.

• Optimize product construction for quality, productivity, and cost.

• Coordinate with Sales, Merchandising, Engineering, and Production during product development.

2. 3D Design & Technical Development:

• Supervise the creation of 3D product models.

• Review foam structure and product dimensions.

• Validate product construction before sample production.

• Ensure design complies with customer requirements.

3. Pattern Development:

• Review and approve production patterns.

• Verify seam allowance and construction details.

• Review nesting efficiency and fabric utilization.

• Ensure accurate DXF/Gerber files before production.

4. Sample Development:

• Manage prototype, fit sample, PP sample, and production samples.

• Ensure samples meet customer quality standards.

• Monitor sample lead time.

• Coordinate sample revisions until approval.

5. Technical Documentation:

Approve and maintain:

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations.

• Technical Package

• BOM

• Sewing Specification

• Construction Drawing

• Pattern Files

• Material Consumption

• Operation Breakdown

• Packaging Specification.

6. Cross-functional Coordination:

Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse and Purchasing Departments to ensure material availability.

• Work closely with:

• Sales

• Merchandising

• Purchasing

• Production

• Quality

• IE

• Planning

• Warehouse

to ensure successful project execution.

7. Complete other tasks assigned by superiors.

Minimum Academic Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Indust

Minimum Academic Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Professional Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience

• Experience garment, furniture manufacturing is highly preferred

Experience in supervisor role in manufacturing environment (preferred): Garment / Soft goods / Furniture / Mattress / Cushion / Footwear

• Candidates from other industries are acceptable provided they have experience working in factories with a high level of machinery, automation, and production equipment.
