Customer Quality Engineer

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To support Molex plants handling with quality issues in customers, maintain customers relationship and satisfaction

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To maintain and improve customer satisfaction with respect to quality activities

2. To maintain customer relationship and customer satisfaction through fast response and good technical support

3. To provide leadership and technical expertise in resolving quality issue:

Interact with customer, understand their needs and execute programs that will address these needs. Programs include:

- Attending to complain onsite customer locations

- Arranging/preparing entities/accompany customers to manufacturing sites for validation/audits.

- Collaborate, drive manufacturing entities worldwide across departments to achieve product quality and customer satisfaction

- Failure analysis of product/process that customer complaint; visit customers for proactive support and understanding

4. Nonconforming products control and disposition (Buy and resale parts) management

- assess/negotiate/engage external contractor for manpower for sorting and rework at customers’/hub locations.

- supervise sorting/rework at customers’/hub locations

- decision/collaboration with manufacturing plants to balance capability of site sorting process vs RGA to manufacturing plant in relation to minimize the sorting cost and prevention of customer’s line down

5. Prepare, review and submit 8D report and corrective actions as required by customers.

6. Participate in FMEA for new products

7. Develop and implement of quality system and procedure to communicate and work with customers to meet our expectation and needs

9. Co-ordinate with customer on the return of defective parts

10. Response to customers’ technical inquiries in a proactive, timely and effective manner to prevent customer dissatisfaction.

1. Good knowledge in engineering and quality

2. Good knowledge at manufacturing processes

3. Knowledge and skills in FMEA, Global 8D, QC tools, SPC and other QA/QC related skills.

4. ISOs, RoSH, SAP

5. At least 4 years experiences in manufacturing companies (In there, 3 years of equivalent experience)

6. Good English
