1. Purpose of the Role

The General Manager (GM) leads Maisa World Vietnam as the regional back-end office supporting M Asia Distribution Group’s operations across Singapore and Hong Kong.

This role is responsible for business management, financial control, supply chain operations, and team leadership, ensuring Vietnam delivers both its own P&L targets and supports the Group’s regional efficiency and growth.

The GM will drive commercial performance in Vietnam while building a robust shared-service hub that supports group-wide finance and accounts, supply chain, and data reporting functions.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic & Commercial Leadership

• Lead Sales, Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain and Operations in Vietnam; execute Group strategy into local business plans and measurable KPIs.

• Act as main liaison with M Asia Distribution HQ (Singapore); oversee compliance, governance and operational risk management across all functions.

• Drive sales growth across MT, GT, kiosks and e-commerce; partner with sourcing/marketing teams on new product/SKU rollouts and brand campaigns.

• Lead business development, key account negotiations and trade marketing to expand distribution coverage.

B. Supply Chain Leadership (Vietnam as Regional Hub)

• Oversee demand forecasting, procurement, inbound logistics and warehousing for Vietnam.

• Establish Vietnam as the regional supply chain support centre — managing stock flow, order processing and data visibility for Singapore and Hong Kong.

• Ensure efficient customs clearance and cost optimization; drive supply chain automation, vendor management and cost-to-serve efficiency.

C. Finance & Accounting Oversight (Regional Support Function)

• Manage full accounting and financial operations for Maisa World Vietnam, including monthly P&L, balance sheet, AR/AP ageing and cash flow forecasts.

• Supervise consolidated Group financial reporting for accuracy and timeliness to Singapore HQ; implement standardized reporting templates and internal controls group-wide.

• Work with the Group's future CFO and auditors to ensure statutory compliance in Vietnam and support Singapore/Hong Kong financial closing.

D. Organizational Leadership & Group Collaboration

• Build, develop and mentor cross-functional teams with clear KPIs, growth paths and a high-performance, accountable culture; drive talent retention through training, evaluation and recognition.

• Coordinate with M Asia HQ and other country managers to share data, optimize resources and align strategies.

• Represent Maisa World Vietnam with banks, regulators, suppliers, brand principals and investors; support Group reporting, investor relations and due diligence.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline.

• 7–10 years’ experience in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods distribution.

• At least 3 years in P&L leadership and team management.

• Proven track record managing multi-market operations or shared-service centers.

• Strong knowledge of financial control, supply chain, and trade marketing.

• Excellent communication in English and Vietnamese (Mandarin is a plus).

• Strategic, analytical, and highly execution-driven.
