Costing Accountant

1. Monthly Closing (MFC/COGS) and Improvement:

- Handle the monthly closing process for Manufacturing Cost (MFC) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Propose and implement improvements to optimize the MFC and COGS calculations and reporting processes.

- Review and analyze variances, identify root causes, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

2. Inventory Transactions Management:

- Check and approve all transactions related to inventory, including internal movements, internal using, and purchasing of goods.

- Ensure proper recording of potato seed inventory transactions (in-out stock) and monitor potato system operations.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory and material transactions.

3. Monthly and quarterly reporting

Prepare and present monthly reports, including:

- MFC Analysis: Analyze manufacturing costs, identify trends, and track cost drivers.

- Material Aging Analysis (LCI): Monitor and analyze material aging, ensuring proper management of inventory and stock levels.

- VAS Inventory Ending Balance: Prepare and review the ending balances of value-added services (VAS) inventory to ensure accurate reporting.

- MFG Package: Provide a comprehensive manufacturing cost package for review, highlighting significant changes or variances, ....

- Providing additional cost-related analyses or reports as requested by management.

- Plan and conduct inventory physical counting periodically

- Other tasks assigned by Managers

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience & Knowledge

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with costing systems and inventory management

Required: Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, MFC, COGS, and inventory management.

Preferred: Experience in the FMCG industry.

Technical Skills

Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; ability to aggregate data, prepare reports, and perform analysis.

Preferred: Experience with ERP systems, SAP.

Personal Characteristics

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities; capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
