Construction Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

Construction Manager will take full responsibility for the management and delivery of piling and foundation construction projects, from planning, resource mobilization, and technical execution through to inspection, final account settlement, and project handover. The position will ensure that all projects meet the required standards for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and legal compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead and manage VGSI’s Construction team and oversee the end-to-end delivery of piling and foundation projects.

• Manage projects in accordance with VGSI’s project management framework, covering all stages from initial planning, feasibility assessment, design coordination, technical review, method statement preparation, mobilization, construction execution, and project handover.

• Ensure all project activities comply with applicable construction laws, technical standards, contractual requirements, company procedures, safety regulations, and local authority requirements.

• Coordinate closely with the Sales and Factory teams on piling construction, product supply, technical requirements, contract review, project documentation, progress claims, payment certification, and final account settlement.

• Establish, mobilize, develop, and lead project teams to achieve project objectives efficiently and effectively.

• Manage project scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project delivery.

• Monitor project performance, identify potential delays or operational risks, and implement timely corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within the approved budget, and in accordance with the required quality standards and business objectives.

• Provide regular project updates, performance reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management.

**** Note: Working Location will be based on Project Requirements, locations are around HCM, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and surrounding areas.

Education and

Education and Specialization:

• Prefer to have Bachelor’s degree in project management, structural design, civil engineer.

• 5-8 years’ project management experience preferably with workplace projects, prior experience in design project management of underground structure or Piling work, fit out projects.

Knowledge & Skill:

• Proficient in MS office suite, Autocad.

• Solid understanding of all the fields of Project Management and strong driver within all areas.

• Able to navigate at all levels of the organization and connect with different collaborators, not afraid to speak their ideas.

• Able to understand all workstreams within Construction work, details design, piling method.

• Creative and energetic mentality.

• Understand construction laws, TCVN and ASTM standards.

• Ability to quickly solving site problems (if any), proposed solutions to solve problems related to piles.

• Ability to make general plan and implement plan, teamwork and team management.

• Ability to work independently and under high pressure.

Language:

• Good command of English and interpersonal competencies.

Computer:

• MS project, AutoCAD, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel…

Personal capabilities:

• Good health.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Having professional ethics, honesty, integrity, carefulness, sense of law observance.
