Channel Operations & Capability Manager

Capability Development:

Identify training gaps and create modules, tools, and activities to improve the professional sales approach and standards of field sales teams.

Performance Monitoring:

Track and analyze sales KPIs and dashboards to pinpoint areas for improvement and work with sales teams to enhance performance.

Program Implementation:

Fully implement sales performance assessment tools and other sales capability initiatives within designated regions or branches.

Sales Leadership Support:

Coach and support branch and sales managers in their ability to manage sales teams and performance effectively.

Recruitment Collaboration:

Work with HR to recruit new salespeople, ensuring a consistent high calibre of candidates with appropriate competencies.

Strategy Contribution:

Participate in business strategy development and deployment, providing insights and feedback to leadership on progress and impact.

Field Visits:

Conduct visits to sales teams and retail outlets to understand on-the-ground requirements and identify opportunities for capability development.

• Sales Analysis & Forecasting:

The ability to interpret sales data, sales dashboards, and sales pipelines to identify trends and forecasting needs.

• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for training delivery, feedback, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

• Leadership & Team Management:

The ability to lead, coach, and mentor sales teams and management to achieve targets and foster continuous improvement.

• Sales Tools Proficiency:

Proficiency with DMS software, sales performance assessment tools, and other relevant sales technology.

• Market & Consumer Knowledge:

A deep understanding of general trade dynamics, market trends, consumer behavior, and shopper insights.
