JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and proactive BOD Assistant to work directly with the Board of Directors (BOD). This role is critical in bridging communication with Japanese clients, supporting executive-level activities, and assisting in strategic business development for the Japanese market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the primary liaison between Japanese clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment

• Support BOD in meetings with Japanese clients: not only as a translator but also as a communication driver to ensure business understanding and alignment

• Report overall situation and progress of Japanese projects/programs to BOD, including risks, challenges, and opportunities

• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, proposals, and meeting documents in both Japanese and English

• Assist BOD in diplomatic and business development activities in the Japanese market

• Represent the company in client visits, external business events, and negotiations

• Provide cultural and business insights to support market penetration and relationship building

• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across departments to support BOD initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• Japanese proficiency at N2 level or higher (mandatory); English proficiency is a plus

• 3–5+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong preference for candidates who have also held roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, BrSE, or similar business-facing positions

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Experience working with Japanese clients or in Japanese business environments

• Ability to work independently and handle executive-level responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with C-level executives or BOD

• Understanding of Japanese business etiquette and culture

• Background in IT, outsourcing, consulting, or related industries is an advantage

• This position reports directly to the Board of Directors (BOD).
