ABOUT THE JOB
We’re looking for an experienced 2D Animation to create high-quality animations and visual effects for characters, UI elements, transitions, and in-game events. You will play a key role in bringing the game’s visuals to life while ensuring smooth performance and consistency across platforms. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Create high-quality 2D animations & VFX (characters, UI, effects, transitions, in-game events).
• Work closely with Game Designers, Developers, and Artists to ensure visual consistency and alignment with gameplay mechanics.
• Optimize animation assets (keyframes, textures, effects) to ensure smooth performance across mobile, web, and desktop platforms.
• Contribute ideas, share knowledge, and support cross-functional teams to improve animation quality and production workflow.

Animation Mindset & Skills

• Ability to conceptualize and deliver high-fidelity 2D/2.5D animations. Solid understanding of the 12 principles of animation and UX motion principles to enhance player experience

VFX Skills

• Strong expertise in designing 2D Visual Effects, especially Environmental & Elemental effects (fire, explosions, lightning) and Lighting/Glow effects commonly seen in iGaming-style games.

Technical & Optimization Skills (Nice to have)

• Proficient in Spine 2D. Possess an optimization-oriented mindset from the design stage (minimizing draw calls, optimizing keyframes, and texture packing).
• Understanding of integration pipelines in Cocos Creator / Cocos2d-x. Ability to work closely with Developers to ensure optimal performance on real devices.

Communication & Workflow

• Excellent teamwork skills. Able to clearly articulate ideas and produce concise yet detailed technical documentation for engineering teams.

Plus Points (Nice to have)

• Ability to hand-draw and create frame-by-frame animations.
