1. General Information

• Position: Import – Export Manager
• Department: Supply Chain
• Working Location: Linh Trung 2 Export Processing Zone, Ho Chi Minh City
• Reports to: Board of Directors

2. Job Purpose

Lead and manage all import-export activities of the Export Processing Enterprise (EPE), ensuring full compliance with customs and trade regulations, optimizing logistics costs, and enhancing operational efficiency through digitalization and technology adoption.

3. Key Responsibilities

3.1. Import – Export Operations Management

• Manage and oversee import-export activities for raw materials, machinery, equipment, and finished goods.
• Ensure timely import and export operations to support production and customer delivery schedules.
• Review and control import-export documentation and customs declarations.
• Ensure proper application of import-export procedures and EPE regulations.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics partners to resolve operational issues.

3.2. Customs Compliance & Final Settlement

• Lead and control customs final settlement reports in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor import, export, and inventory data; reconcile BOM consumption and investigate discrepancies.
• Work with customs authorities during audits, inspections, and data clarification processes.
• Stay updated on customs, tax, and import-export regulations; assess impacts and implement necessary changes.
• Develop and improve procedures to ensure compliance and minimize operational risks.

3.3. Logistics Management & Cost Optimization

• Develop and implement logistics plans to support production and shipment requirements.
• Manage relationships with forwarders, shipping lines, transport providers, and customs brokers.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize logistics costs, including freight, warehousing, and container charges.
• Negotiate freight rates and control additional costs to improve operational efficiency.

3.4. WMS Management & IMEX Digitalization

• Coordinate the operation and optimization of WMS and digital tools supporting import-export and warehouse activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability for customs settlement and audits.
• Standardize processes for document management and digitalization of import-export records.
• Promote technology adoption, automation, and management reporting to enhance operational efficiency.

3.5. Team Management & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Lead, coach, and develop the Import-Export and Logistics teams.
• Set KPIs and evaluate team performance.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Finance, Production, and IT departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare periodic reports for the Board of Directors on operational performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

4. Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Import-Export, Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

Experience

• More than 10 years of experience in an Import-Export management role.
• Mandatory experience working in an Export Processing Enterprise (EPE).
• Proven experience in customs final settlement and working with customs authorities.
• Experience in WMS operation or digital transformation projects is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, taxation, EPE operations, INCOTERMS, and international trade.
• Proficient in electronic customs declaration systems (ECUS/VNACCS or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
