Transmission Engineer (Fresher/Experienced)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE

• Plan, deploy, and maintain DWDM, OTN, NMS transmission systems in core and metro networks.

• Perform commissioning, integration, cut-over, and acceptance testing for DWDM equipment.

• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and low latency.

• Troubleshoot transmission issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with operator for resolution.

• Support capacity planning and migration projects to meet growing bandwidth demands.

• Document network designs, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IP Core/Metro, GPON) for end-to-end service delivery.

• Education Background Requirements: Bachelor or higher, major: Telecommunications technology, or related fields.

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with DWDM/OTN equipment (Huawei OSN 9800/8800/1800, etc. or similar).

• Strong understanding of optical transmission technologies (DWDM, OTN, ROADM, EDFA, RAMAN, ASON, CDCF, coherent optics).

• Experience with NMS platforms (Huawei U2000/NCE-T, etc.).

• Able to communicate effectively in English both spoken and written.

• Family with Microsoft office, Excel, Power point.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and manage parallel time-critical tasks.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to Travel as needed.

• Huawei HCIP-Transmission or HCIE-Transmission.

• Optical networking certifications (e.g., Ciena, Nokia).
