Technical Manager – Trucking & EV Ecosystem, SPX Express

Own end-to-end truck asset ecosystem, ensuring efficient, regulation-compliant, and scalable operations across fleet, infrastructure, maintenance, and energy systems.
Define and enforce standardized fleet operating models, SOPs, and governance across all asset-related processes.
Manage the full lifecycle of truck assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, optimizing total cost of ownership.
Drive fleet utilization improvements by optimizing allocation, reducing downtime, and aligning vehicle types with operational needs.
Build and manage infrastructure networks, including parking, EV charging, and facilities aligned with operational demand.
Ensure infrastructure planning and operations comply with local regulations and support long-term scalability of our operations.
Plan and oversee the garage and maintenance ecosystem, ensuring high reliability, fast turnaround time, and cost-efficient operations.
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
Manage fuel and EV charging operations, optimizing energy cost, efficiency, and operational uptime.
Monitor and improve key metrics, including cost per km, utilization rate, downtime, maintenance cost, and energy efficiency.
Act as internal owner of regulatory intelligence, tracking Vietnam transport policies and anticipating upcoming changes.
Assess regulatory impact on fleet, infrastructure, and operations, ensuring proactive adaptation and zero disruption.
Translate regulatory changes into actionable fleet strategies, including asset mix adjustments, routing changes, and compliance risk mitigation.
Define and execute short-term and long-term fleet strategy aligned with business growth and evolving regulatory environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
8-12+ years of experience in trucking, automotive, fleet operations, EV systems, or heavy vehicle maintenance, including team management experience.
Strong understanding of vehicle technologies, EV architecture, charging infrastructure, and large-scale fleet operations.
Proven experience working with logistics fleets, transportation operations, or depot environments at scale is highly preferred.
Strong stakeholder management capability, able to influence and align cross-functional teams including operations, finance, procurement, and external partners.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, with ability to translate business goals into fleet, infrastructure, and asset strategies.
Strong systems thinking, able to integrate physical assets, infrastructure, processes, and people into a cohesive operating model.
Proven leadership ability to build, structure, and scale teams while driving performance and accountability.
Strong problem-solving mindset with both analytical rigor and hands-on technical capability.
