Sourcing Engineer (Fastener And Industrial Components)

• Source fasteners and industrial components such as CNC parts, stamping hardware, injection molding parts etc. Analyze quotes and make purchase recommendation.

• Review customer requirements (per standard, per print, specification or PPAP) to ensure manufacturers have process capability and feasibility and good understanding to be successful.

• Develop new vendors and commodities by conducting industry research, quality survey, vendor audit and participating in trade shows.

• See through new product development by collaborating with suppliers & international cross-functional team.

• Assist suppliers during on-boarding processes and maintain an effective communication channel.

• Identify cost saving opportunities and optimize supplier base.

• Update and maintain sourcing data, report daily activities to Asia Sourcing Manager.

• Min. college degree.

• English proficiency required.

• Good communication skills.

• Strong self-starter and team player with good reporting habit.

• Capable of reading advanced technical prints and standards.

• Good understanding of various types of manufacturing process and keen to learn more.

• Familiarity with PPAP and ISO/IATF quality system is a plus.

• Experience in Fastener/Semiconductor/Electronics industry is a plus.

• Sourcing experience is highly preferred. Technically smart in customer sales or a commercially minded R&D engineer will be a good fit as well.
