Senior Process Engineer

Job Purpose

Lead process engineering activities in new product development (design, process & equipment). Ensure production efficiency, quality standards, and continuous process improvements to meet technical and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sales initiatives on customer inquiry, new product development and new capability within the business unit.

• Responsible and drive for process development, process capability, process improvement and introduction of new products into manufacturing.

• Process Validation: Manage process deviation runs and execute buy-off procedures for new processes and machine installations.

• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain critical documentation, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PCP (Process Control Plan), and process specifications.

• Foster teamwork in between the team members in the engineering department, providing training and guidance. Lead and train junior process engineers.

• Projects future space and equipment requirements based upon business plans and forecasts. Support Sales team on the quotation generation.

• Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepares necessary operation sheets.

• To ensure meeting and achieving organization KPIs (SQDCCE).

• Process Optimization: Drive process improvement/ Kaizen initiatives to improve cost and manufacturing efficiency and output.

• To support and comply with the Brady Corporation Global Policies, Brady Policy, Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, Safety & Health Policy and other organization policies that are relevant to job functions. To responsible, accountable and committed to fulfil the codes and statements prescribed in the policies.

Requisite Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related field) with minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, specifically within label converting or die-cut processes.

• Proven experience in supporting production lines and troubleshooting complex machine or process issues.

• Proficiency in creating/maintaining Design Failure Mode (DFM), Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA and Process Control Plans.

• Strong understanding of converting technologies, material characteristics, and quality standards.

• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement projects and mentor junior engineers.

Skills

• Possess team player, good interpersonal and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with sales, quality, and production teams.

• Deep knowledge of label/die-cut machinery and material selection is an added advantage.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven process improvements.

• Computer aided facilities management (AUTOCAD, AI, Microsoft Office), workplace layout and ergonomics are desirable.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization, problem solving skills.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions or common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers, including top management.

• Ability to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced environment.
