ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-time Research Analyst to join Datagent and support client delivery and business development workstreams.

This role is designed for a motivated fresh-graduate who is eager to build strong analytical and professional foundations in a data-driven, client-facing environment. You will work closely with the founding team across the full project lifecycle — from prospect engagement through to final client deliverable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Development Support

Prepare professional outreach materials, solution proposals, and follow-up decks

Support track and maintain the sales pipeline and ensure action items are followed through

Support lead research and prospect list building across target client segments

Support coordination with partners and prospective clients

2. Client Delivery & Analytical Work

You will take direct ownership of analytical and delivery workstreams across active client engagements.

Conduct primary and secondary research using internal datasets and external sources to address client business questions

Analyze data and insights into market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and industry trends in support of client mandates

Synthesize findings into structured, consulting-quality deliverables — including analytical reports, insight decks, and data outputs

Build and maintain structured presentation decks with clear narrative flow, logical reasoning, and professional visual standards

Prepare client-facing progress updates and interim outputs throughout the engagement

3. Internal Operations Support

Help structure internal documents, trackers, and templates to support growing workstreams

Support ad-hoc operational tasks typical of a lean, fast-moving organization

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have

1-2 years of working experience

Experience from case competitions, student consulting clubs, or research projects

Strong structured thinking - ability to break down ambiguous problems and organize information clearly

High attention to detail and commitment to output quality

Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in data, business intelligence, or market research

Adaptable and fast learner - comfortable navigating unfamiliar topics and building knowledge independently

Strong written and verbal communication in both English and Vietnamese

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for professional purposes

Nice-to-Have

Prior exposure to financial analysis, market research, or business strategy

Basic understanding of B2B professional services or the investment ecosystem in Southeast Asia
