R&D Hardware Design Engineer (Memory Storage)

Key Responsibilities (open to Remote/ Hybrid working)

• Participate in the architecture, development and implementation of enterprise SSD hardware platforms from concept through product release.

• Design electronic circuits, develop schematics, support PCB layout review, and define key hardware components including flash memory, controllers and power management modules.

• Execute board bring-up, hardware verification and root cause analysis to ensure design functionality and product stability.

• Analyze and optimize high-speed interfaces, signal quality and thermal performance to meet product reliability and performance targets.

• Conduct hardware validation activities, reliability testing, failure analysis and engineering experiments to identify design improvements and support product qualification.

• Ensure hardware designs comply with applicable industry standards and interface specifications for storage products.

• Work closely with Firmware, ASIC, Mechanical and Manufacturing teams throughout the product development cycle to deliver high-performance storage solutions.

• Provide technical support during prototype development, engineering validation and mass production.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or other related disciplines.

• At least 6 years of experience in hardware design development for SSD, storage devices or related memory products.

• Strong understanding of storage technologies, including Flash architecture and enterprise storage systems.

• Solid experience in schematic design, PCB development and component integration using professional design software (Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer or equivalent).

• Familiar with high-speed hardware design and validation, including interfaces.

• Practical experience using laboratory equipment for hardware debugging and validation, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers.

• Knowledge of signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), hardware troubleshooting and failure investigation is highly preferred.

• Experience performing hardware verification, reliability testing and engineering analysis throughout product development.

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify technical issues and propose effective solutions.

• Good command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively in multinational engineering teams.
