Position Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) across the entire product lifecycle—from incoming materials to final delivery. This role ensures that all manufacturing processes and outputs consistently meet international standards and stringent customer requirements. The Quality Engineer lead certification initiatives, drives operational excellence through data-driven process improvements (SPC), and serves as the primary technical contact for customer quality assurance, warranty management, and audits.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control Operations & Systems

• Establish and manage inspection standards for Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC).

• Develop and maintain the quality documentation system, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and quality forms.

• Monitor and manage daily manufacturing quality to ensure production output meets defined specifications.

• Manage non-conforming materials (MRB) and lead root-cause analysis for internal quality issues.

Quality Systems, Audit & Certification

• Lead the setup, implementation, and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

• Organize and conduct internal quality audits; serve as the lead coordinator for external and Customer Audits.

• Manage supplier quality performance and conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure material consistency.

• Oversee quality certifications and ensure compliance with JEDEC and IPC standards

Customer Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Act as the key liaison for Customer Quality matters, handling feedback, warranty claims, and 8D reporting.

• Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor yields and identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production yield and reduce quality-related costs

• Coordinate semiconductor packaging qualification, reliability testing, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical quality issues and optimize manufacturing workflows.

• Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain to manage supplier performance and material traceability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related technical fields).

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or high-tech factory environment is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, JEDEC/IPC standards, and internal auditing.

• Hands-on experience with semiconductor packaging qualification and reliability

• Proficiency in quality tools (7 QC Tools, 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma).

• Experience in setting up IQC/IPQC/OQC processes from the ground up

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for customer and supplier interactions.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Fluent in English and Vietnamese

• Entrepreneurial mindset: willing to take on tasks beyond core responsibilities when needed in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
