Quality Assurance Engineer (Toy Manufacturing)

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for ensuring that products sourced from SE Asia suppliers comply with Company specifications and the safety requirements of the distribution market.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing inspection program & perform pre-shipment inspection at Crayola’s suppliers. Assess product’s conformance to specifications. Document inspection results in writing, with appropriate photographs. Communicate results to manager & supplier as requirement.
• Audit factory QA records to collect data related to product manufacturing, support production test plan requirements, or to collect data to support a problem-solving team.
• Executes the factory line audits and recommends CARs for improvements.
• Lead structured problem-solving teams to identify root cause and implement permanent corrective action in response to supplier quality issues.
• Support the commercialization of new products in supplier factories. Identify product quality risks throughout the product development process and communicate to product development team.
• Onsite review Quality/Ethical GAPs as assignment
Decision Making Capabilities (List the three most important decisions made while performing the job).
• Determine the compliance of raw materials, work-in-process, and/or finished goods to established component/product specifications/standard procedures.

• B.S. degree in a technical discipline required; an Engineering discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of statistical methods is preferred.
• Ability to interpret product specifications and drawings.
• Good written, oral and problem-solving abilities required.
• Fluency in English & Chinese is preferred.
