Project Manager - Plant Manager

General: To aid the setup of new factory, ensuring factory are established with the right technical capability, and operational systems to meet company's quality, efficiency, and compliance standards. The role represents Production Planning interests during factory onboarding, ensuring that capacity planning, process flow design, and production readiness are optimised from the start.

Job Description:

1. Factory Setup & Development:

• Assist the end-to-end process of new factory setup — from feasibility study and layout planning to production launch readiness.

• Work with engineering, quality, construction team and operations teams to design optimal production process flows, factory layouts, and capacity plans.

• Define and implement production control systems and reporting structures for newly onboarded factory.

• Develop SOPs covering planning, scheduling, material control, and performance tracking in alignment with Betagen’s standards.

• Support technical evaluation of new factory — including equipment, workforce readiness, and production capability.

• Be responsible for directing and organizing activities related to food safety, occupational health and safety, and fire prevention and fighting (FPF) throughout the factory, including periodic sanitation, warehouse organization, equipment arrangement, and other related safety compliance activities.

2. Production Planning:

• Make production plan and ensure capacity, forecasting, and delivery planning are embedded from the start.

• Analyse product mix, forecast data, and lead times to ensure realistic and efficient startup plans.

• Build and validate capacity models for new site; ensure alignment between planned output and actual capability.

3. Process & Systems Implementation:

• Establish material control, warehouse flow, and logistics processes to ensure smooth inbound and outbound management.

• Guide factory in implementing planning tools, dashboards, and performance metrics.

• Identify gaps in planning or inventory systems and coordinate corrective actions prior to handover to ongoing production teams.

4. Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor early-stage performance of new factory, tracking productivity, efficiency, on-time delivery and material utilisation.

• Lead root cause analysis for startup issues (capacity constraints, delays, quality issues) and implement corrective measures.

• Develop and train local factory teams in production planning best practices and performance management.

5. Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the key liaison between Factory teams and office teams.

• Ensure alignment with Group strategy for production diversification and risk management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, or related fields.

• 10+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, production planning, supply chain, or factory operations.

• Proven experience in factory setup, factory expansion, production transfer, or new site development projects.

• Strong knowledge of capacity planning, production planning, material management, and factory operations.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Production, Technical, Quality, and Sourcing.

• Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in FMCG industries is preferred.

• Fluent English communication skills.

• Willingness to move frequently between HCMC and Dong Nai.
