Principle Enterprise AI Engineer

Job Purpose or Summary

AI Adoption Engineer will lead and accelerate AI transformation across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving enterprise AI adoption, integrating AI into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), establishing AI-enabled engineering practices, and empowering non-technical teams to leverage AI effectively.

As a senior individual contributor, you will partner with Engineering, Product, Operations, Business Functions, Security, and Leadership teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities, implement scalable AI workflows, and establish governance and best practices for responsible AI usage.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in software engineering and AI platforms with strong change management, enablement, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Main Responsibilities

1. Enterprise AI Adoption

- Develop and execute the organization's AI adoption strategy.

- Identify high-value business and engineering use cases for AI implementation.

- Drive AI enablement initiatives across technical and non-technical teams.

- Measure AI adoption Success Metrics

Within the first 12 months, this role will:

- Increase AI adoption across engineering and business teams.

- Establish standardized AI-enabled SDLC practices.

- Deliver measurable improvements in developer productivity.

- Launch enterprise AI copilots and workflow automation solutions.

- Build AI governance, productivity gains, and business impact through defined KPIs.

- Act as an internal AI evangelist and trusted advisor to leadership teams.

2. AI-Enabled Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

- Design and implement AI-enhanced SDLC practices across development teams.

- Establish standards for AI-assisted coding, testing, code review, documentation, and deployment.

- Integrate AI tools into engineering workflows and developer platforms.

- Build governance frameworks for AI-generated code quality, security, compliance, and maintainability.

- Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to automate AI-assisted development pipelines.

3. AI Platform & Workflow Engineering

- Build and maintain reusable AI workflows, agents, and automation solutions.

- Design AI pipelines using LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, and enterprise data sources.

- Evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and platforms for organizational adoption.

- Define best practices for prompt engineering, model selection, evaluation, and monitoring.

4. AI for Non-Engineering Functions

- Enable business teams such as Product, Operations, HR, Finance, Legal, Customer Support, and Sales to leverage AI effectively.

- Design AI copilots, knowledge assistants, workflow automations, and decision-support tools.

- Conduct AI workshops, training programs, and office hours.

- Create reusable playbooks and templates for AI-assisted work.

5. Governance & Responsible AI

- Establish AI governance standards and adoption policies.

- Partner with Security, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure responsible AI usage.

- Define frameworks for model evaluation, data privacy, security, and auditability.

- Monitor AI-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

6. Leadership & Influence

- Influence engineering and business leaders on AI strategy and execution.

- Mentor engineers and AI champions across the organization.

- Build communities of practice around AI adoption.

- Represent the company in AI initiatives, conferences, and industry forums when appropriate.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

• Experience leading enterprise-scale AI transformation initiatives.

• Experience with developer productivity platforms and AI coding assistants.

• Familiarity with MLOps, LLMOps, and AI governance frameworks.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as: AWS/Microsoft Azure/ Google Cloud

• Experience building internal AI copilots or enterprise knowledge systems.

• Relevant certifications in cloud, AI, or enterprise architecture.

• English proficiency is a plus.

• (8+) years of software engineering, platform engineering, or technical consulting experience.

• (3+) years working with Generative AI, LLMs, AI platforms, or intelligent automation solutions.

• Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices, DevOps, CI/CD, and software architecture.

• Experience implementing enterprise AI solutions and AI adoption programs.

• Hands-on experience with AI technologies including:

◦ Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, open-source models)

◦ RAG architectures

◦ Vector databases

◦ AI orchestration frameworks

◦ Agentic workflows

◦ Prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• AI-powered SDLC platform integrating coding assistants, automated code review, and test generation.

• Enterprise knowledge assistant leveraging RAG and internal documentation.

• AI-enabled incident management and operational support workflows.

• Product management copilot for requirements generation and backlog refinement.

• Customer support automation and agent-assist solutions.

• AI adoption playbook and organizational capability-building program.
