Plant Controller - Finance Manager

Our client is a global precision manufacturing company specializing in precision metal stamping, tooling, industrial design, and assembly. With operations across 12 countries and 3 continents, the company provides end-to-end manufacturing solutions to global OEM customers.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee the overall finance operations of the manufacturing plant, lead and develop the Finance team, and partner with Plant Management to drive financial performance and sustainable business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process.

Consolidate and submit financial plans into the corporate reporting system.

Partner with Operations to identify business risks and opportunities.

Improve forecast accuracy and support achievement of business KPIs.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

Lead month-end closing and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Review statutory financial statements and management reports.

Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed monthly and outstanding items are resolved promptly.

Identify financial risks and ensure appropriate accounting treatment and mitigation actions.

Inventory Control & Costing

Monitor inventory aging and drive actions to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.

Support physical inventory counts and investigate inventory variances.

Ensure BOM, routing and standard costing are accurately maintained.

Review manufacturing cost variances and drive continuous cost improvement initiatives.

Commercial Finance

Review quotation costing, pricing, CAPEX proposals and ROI analysis.

Monitor project financial performance against business targets.

Support corrective actions to improve profitability and project performance.

Working Capital Management

Review and approve payables.

Monitor accounts receivable and support collection activities.

Drive initiatives to improve working capital performance, including DSO, DIO and DPO.

Internal Control & Compliance

Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies, internal controls and ethical standards.

Support internal and external audit activities.

Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards, IFRS requirements and local tax regulations.

Leadership

Lead, coach and develop the Finance team.

Act as a Finance Business Partner to Plant Management and cross-functional departments to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Perform other assignments as required.

Yêu cầu công việc

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.

CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.

Minimum 10 years of Finance experience, including at least 3 years in Finance Manager or Plant Controller positions.

Strong experience managing the overall Finance function within a manufacturing environment, preferably in multinational or large-scale manufacturing companies.

Solid experience in FP&A, Cost Accounting, Inventory Control and Commercial Finance.

Experience in mechanical, electrical, communication or precision manufacturing industries is preferred.

Hands-on experience with SAP ERP.

Good knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), IFRS and local tax regulations.

Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Strong leadership, business acumen, problem-solving ability and continuous improvement mindset.
