Part-Time ESL Math & Science Teaching Assistant

•  Provide teaching support.

Examine the lesson’s content and vocabulary based on the curriculum allocation for the assigned subject.

Compile learning sheets and summarize the lesson content for each lesson. Proactively print and stick learning sheets into their notebooks of Math and Science for students. Conduct periodic checks on students’ notebooks (at least 4 times per year; especially before the examinations) to ensure that their learning process is recorded continuously.

• Proactively support foreign teachers in teaching and learning activities in the classroom in terms of professional tasks and student manners. Keep a close eye on students’ learning process. Further explain lesson contents to students if necessary.

Supervise and prompt students’ completion of their homework.

Monitor and remind foreign teachers not to use inappropriate language in the lesson.

•       Do examination work.

Discuss and coordinate with foreign teachers to prepare review content for students before each exam.

•      Support in the management of foreign teachers’ working hours.

Ensure that foreign teachers come to class and leave on time.

Ensure that foreign teachers do not do personal work (using phones, laptops, reading books/newspapers, etc.) during class and check students’ study hours.

•       Discuss and coordinate with the homeroom teachers.

Regularly coordinate and communicate with homeroom teachers (Vietnamese and foreign homeroom teachers) to grasp the situation of each student in the class, thereby planning appropriate support for them.

•       Perform other tasks as assigned by the Vice-Principal of English.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

• Nationality: Vietnamese
• Academic level: University degree, Qualification: English Language Studies, TESOL, Math, Science.
•  Foreign languages: IELTS 6.5.
• Computer literacy:  Proficient in office software.
• Soft skills: Communication, presentation, classroom management, organization, teamwork.
• Experience:Teaching assistant experience: English, Math (in English), Science (in English).
• Experience in a similar position: 1 years or more.
