Part-Time English Teacher

POSITION DESCRIPTION

BUV’s English Department is excited to announce the expansion of our collaboration with one of our key partner schools in Hanoi, now including Elementary, Secondary and High School students. As a result, the Head of English is actively seeking experienced and qualified part-time English language teachers who are not only dynamic but also enthusiastic, energetic, and fun, to join our vibrant team. In addition to seeking dynamic and engaging educators, we emphasize that our ideal candidates should be committed professionals with a focused career in education, rather than those seeking short-term, casual teaching opportunities. We value stability and dedication in our teaching team.

Class size: Approximately 25 students per class

SECONDARY SCHOOL:

COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)

- A recognised international qualification in teaching English as a foreign/second/further language (such as CELTA, Trinity Cert TESOL or equivalent.)

- Effective communication skills.

- Confident using technology to create engaging lessons.

- Extensive experience of teaching Grades 1 – 9, English for teenagers.

- Experience of teaching IELTS and pre-IELTS courses to Vietnamese students (preferred).

- Cultural awareness.

- Right to work in Vietnam and meet work permit requirements.

HIGH SCHOOL:

COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)

- A recognised international qualification in teaching English as a foreign/second/further language (such as CELTA, Trinity Cert TESOL or equivalent.)

- Effective communication skills.

- Confident using technology to create engaging lessons.

- Extensive experience of teaching Grades 1 – 12.

- Experience of teaching IELTS to Vietnamese students (essential).

- Cultural awareness.

- Right to work in Vietnam and meet work permit requirements.

- Please note that original certificates and degrees will be required on arrival in Vietnam (degree and teaching certificates; CRB or other police checks) are required for work permit purposes.
