Operations Manager (Urgent)

Our client is a US-based global technology company. As part of its continued expansion in Vietnam, the company is investing in new manufacturing capacity and developing its local operations team.

The Vietnam operation is growing rapidly, with a new manufacturing facility under development and a long-term target to significantly expand production capacity and workforce.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to join the organization at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in shaping and developing the operation.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee Production and Maintenance operations (75%-25%), ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance.

The role will manage multiple production processes, including metal stamping, non-metal stamping, assembly, die cutting, coating/plating, packing, as well as maintenance and automation activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in building team capabilities, improving operational efficiency, implementing Lean practices, and driving continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Production & Operations Management

• Lead overall production operations across Metal Stamping and Non-Metal Stamping departments.

• Oversee processes including stamping, degreasing, tumbling, coating/plating, inspection, packing, assembly, die cutting and powder mixing.

• Ensure production meets quality, delivery, productivity, cost and safety targets.

• Manage production planning and respond flexibly to changing customer requirements.

• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintenance & Automation

• Oversee the Maintenance team responsible for equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.

• Support machine and production line setup, including automation equipment.

• Improve equipment reliability, productivity and overall manufacturing efficiency.

People & Team Development

• Lead and develop Production and Maintenance teams, including frontline leaders and supervisors.

• Build team capability through coaching, training and performance management.

• Develop newly established production leaders and strengthen their problem-solving and management capabilities.

• Manage workforce challenges effectively in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

Lean & Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and improvement initiatives.

• Identify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks and process inefficiencies.

• Lead structured problem-solving and root cause analysis for operational issues.

• Establish systematic processes and performance management mechanisms.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with solid experience in Operations/Production management.

• Experience in electronics components manufacturing is highly preferred.

• Metal Stamping experience is highly preferred, while candidates with strong Operations/Production management experience in Electronics Manufacturing will also be considered.

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.

• Proven leadership and people development capabilities.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment with frequent changes.

• Dynamic, flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing customer and business requirements.

• Good English communication skills.
