Job Summary

We are looking for a Middle/ Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems using Laravel, Kafka, MySQL, AWS, and Graylog. This role involves building high-performance applications, optimizing system reliability, and mentoring team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure applications with Laravel.
• Architect and maintain RESTful APIs and services with a focus on scalability.
• Develop and optimize components handling high traffic and large data volumes.

Database Management

• Build, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases for high performance and availability.
• Ensure data integrity through schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Implement data migrations and transformations as required.

Monitoring & Performance

• Set up and manage observation tools for logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Continuously analyze system performance and implement improvements.
• Optimize code, queries, and infrastructure to minimize latency and maximize efficiency.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Mentor junior/mid-level developers and guide them through technical challenges.
• Lead by example with clean code, code reviews, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of learning and technical excellence.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Operations teams to deliver features on time.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.

Your Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

• Expert-level experience with Laravel and modern PHP practices.
• Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Advanced knowledge of MySQL (performance tuning, indexing, optimization).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda).
• Experience with Graylog or similar log management tools.
• Strong background in performance optimization for backend and databases.

Experience

• 4+ years in backend development, with proven experience in high-traffic applications.
• Track record in building and maintaining scalable, production-level systems.
• Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience with IFRS/CRM/Accounting systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang is a plus.
