BGG Global Sourcing Office is part of BGG (Bac Giang) Garment Group, a leading garment manufacturer in Vietnam. The sourcing office works directly with international buyers and internal factories, supporting costing, product development, and order management for export garment programs.
About the Position
The Merchandiser Team Leader will lead and coordinate a team of merchandisers to ensure efficient execution of apparel orders, excellent buyer communication, and collaboration with factories, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This role requires strong merchandising expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex workflows across development and production phases.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Operations
● Lead, manage, and develop the merchandising team, including task allocation, coaching, and performance evaluation
● Oversee FOB and/or CMPT costing, quotations, and commercial discussions
● Supervise sample development (proto, fit, PP), including embroidery, printing, and washing approvals
● Monitor order execution, T&A schedules, production status, quality and delivery performance Sourcing (Suppliers & Factories)
● Source, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and factories based on cost, capability, capacity, and compliance
● Maintain strong working relationships with existing suppliers and factories to ensure long-term cooperation. Sales / Business Development (New Buyers & Orders)
● Actively search for and approach new buyers/customers through inquiries, referrals, meetings, fairs, or existing networks
● Handle new buyer inquiries, including costing, development proposals, and feasibility analysis
● Coordinate internal teams and factories to develop competitive offers and convert inquiries into orders
● Build and maintain strong relationships with new buyers, ensuring professional communication and follow-up
● Support buyer visits, presentations, and discussions related to sourcing capability and production strengths
Communication & Reporting
● Act as a key contact point for buyers, ensuring clear communication of requirements, timelines, and expectations
● Coordinate with internal teams (planning, QA, commercial, logistics) to resolve issues and manage risks
● Review and maintain accurate merchandising reports, order status updates, and business development tracking

Working Time
● 8:00 – 17:30 (1.5-hour lunch break)
● Monday to Friday, and Saturday morning
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for candidates who:
● 5–8+ years of experience in apparel merchandising, with team leadership experience
● Strong knowledge of costing, sourcing, development, and production follow-up
● Proven ability to find new buyers, develop orders, and support business growth
● Good commercial mindset and negotiation skills
● Strong English communication skills (spoken & written)
● Leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
