1. Position summary

The Mechanical Engineer creates and releases manufacturing drawings and provides day-to-day engineering support to production. Working within the Engineering team, this role produces clear, manufacturable drawings and 3D models, sets up engineering data in ERP system (item, BOM, route), and helps resolve drawing, BOM and production issues so parts can be built and shipped on time. It is a hands-on engineering role reporting to the Engineering Lead and supporting the Engineering Operations Supervisor's priorities.

2. Key responsibilities

2.1 Design & drawing creation

• Create manufacturing drawings and 3D models for parts, assemblies, fixtures and tooling.

• Convert customer drawings into clear internal manufacturing drawings.

• Clarify requirements for assigned drawings and avoid errors in own work.

• Follow MDC drafting standards and templates.

• Perform self-check of drawings for accuracy and completeness before submitting for review.

2.2 Engineering release & data control

• Set up item, BOM and route data.

• Support ECN (engineering change notice), revision control and engineering release accuracy.

• Handle quick turn requests as assigned.

2.3 Task execution & support

• Complete engineering tasks as assigned, following the priorities and due dates set by the Engineering Lead / Supervisor.

• Report progress or technical risks early to the Engineering Lead.

• Escalate technical, specification or capacity issues to the Engineering Lead instead of making independent commitments to other teams or customers.

• Provide drawing and engineering information to other teams when requested, through or with the Engineering Lead.

3.1 Must-have

• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience in design, drafting or manufacturing support.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.

• Good CAD skills, especially SolidWorks, and ability to create clear manufacturing drawings.

• Basic knowledge of GD&T, machining, welding, assembly and manufacturability.

• Able to read customer drawings, specifications and BOMs.

• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to support multiple requests on time.

• Basic working English for engineering documents and communication.

• Used to go to USA is an advantage.

3.2 Preferred

• Experience in precision manufacturing or semiconductor products.

• Exposure to MRB / RMA, FAIR, deviations or fixture / tooling design is a plus.

• Work only 2 Saturdays (Saturday alternative) in a month.

• You can choose one of the following two work locations:

- 28 Mai Chi Tho St., An Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, OR

- Factory at Trach 3 Industrial zone, Dong Nai City

• Shuttle bus from HCM & Bien Hoa to factory.
