Position Summary
Responsible for managing the post-confirmation sample review process, providing corrective actions and communicating with factories to ensure on-time production that meets the brand's quality standards. Work closely with factories to improve production efficiency while ensuring correct manufacturing standards. The role requires strong expertise in footwear manufacturing processes and techniques to translate corrective measures into mass production with consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Extreme Size, Cutting Die Trial and Pre-Production sample approval to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure a high first-pass approval rate for Pre-Production Trials (PPT).
• Participate in tear-down meetings and provide technical expertise to the Product Development team.
• Ensure production fitting and appearance remain consistent with confirmation samples.
• Follow up on SOP accuracy and maintain aligned documentation formats.
• Lead, mentor and manage the Industrialization team.
• Organize Pre-Production Meetings (PPT) and hand over styles together with SOPs to QA and factories.
• Communicate weekly PPT schedules, first-pass rates and production delays with the Planning Team.
• Monitor production start-up and regularly conduct production line walks to verify process accuracy and product quality.
• Identify and implement innovative manufacturing technologies to continuously improve production efficiency and sustainability.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Build strong partnerships with factories, provide technical expertise to resolve production challenges, and ensure compliance with quality and brand standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support the QA/QC team in improving GMP results and follow up on CAPs related to production issues or customer claims.
• Support the sourcing of new factories.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education & E Education & Experience • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field. • Minimum 15 years of experience in footwear manufacturing and product development. Skills • Good written and spoken English. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word). • Strong communication, presentation and team management skills. • Solid knowledge and expertise in footwear development and engineering. • Ability to coach, lead and develop team members. • Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills. • Thorough understanding of supply chain planning, lead-time management, cost structures and cost optimization opportunities. Working Environment • Work at both the company office and factory sites for sample reviews. • Willing to travel domestically to Vietnam-based factories and internationally to Cambodia, Indonesia and China when required.
