Maintenance Engineering Manager

Role Purpose:

The Maintenance Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, installation, and operation of production machinery (mechanical, electrical, civil) and utility operations. They focus on preventive maintenance, CAPEX budgeting, and EHS compliance to ensure high machinery efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure machinery and equipment operate stably (Utilities, Facilities…)

• Responsible for monitoring and improving the plant's energy use: Electricity, steam, water (production and domestic), air compressor, and wastewater treatment.

• Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development to improve the efficiency of the machine.

• Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.

• Manages technicians and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel. Orientation and development of technicians to improve themselves.

• Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure employees comply with labor regulations and laws.

• Prepares and executes departmental budget. Track and monitor the budget closely and reasonably. Guaranteed spare parts for the factory.

• Negotiate contracts with outside vendors. Guaranteed quality and reasonable prices, long-term cooperation.

• Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.

• Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.

• Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers (Minz, Comelz, Gbos, Suzuki, Comsat, Jackquard…)

• Task for building 2 includes facilities extension, AHU system.

• Twisting, Bonding, and Polishing machines maintenance.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering

• From 10 years relevant hands-on experience, including 3–5+ years in a supervisory/manager role leading multi-disciplinary teams

• Strong knowledge in industrial mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation & controls, reliability engineering

• Proven experience in preventive & predictive maintenance, maintenance planning & scheduling, spare parts strategy, asset lifecycle management

• Familiar with Safety, Quality & Compliance standards

• Strong leadership, experienced in training and coaching

• Recognized maintenance/reliability certs (e.g., SAP, ERP for inventory is a plus)

• Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH) beneficial

• Lean/TPM/Kaizen/6σ Green Belt advantageous

• Very good communication in English and Vietnamese
