We do not provide litigation services, so this role is suited to a legal practitioner with corporate and commercial experience.

Our team has a deep and thorough understanding of the Vietnamese legal environment, as well as international best practices.

Key responsibilities

This role is for a lawyer with 5 - 7 years’ experience working for top tier foreign or domestic law firms in Vietnam, under the direction and instruction of Legal Directors and Partners, overseeing junior lawyers/paralegals and dealing directly with clients.

Specifically, the Associate Director/Manager will be responsible for working with leadership in:

• advising on all aspects of Vietnam laws related to our client’s business and investment; preparing legal advice, transaction structuring, due diligence reports, transaction documentation and related pre- and post-completion tasks; representing clients in liaising and working with the relevant authorities to seek handle regulatory issues;

• managing client caseload in collaboration with the leadership team and ensuring that all legal deliverables meet all requirements and is of high quality before submitting to leadership for sign off;

• providing advice, guidance and mentoring to the junior lawyers/paralegals to ensure they approach their work with professionalism and due care, and in a manner that maintains the good reputation of KPMG in the community; and

• other tasks as required by leadership.

Yêu cầu công việc

• A Bachelor’s Degree in law (Post-graduate education in related fields is an advantage), being admitted lawyer in Vietnam.

• 5 - 7 years of relevant experience at reputable international or domestic law firms (admitted lawyer is preferred).

• English fluency

• Ability to work and perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
