Leader, Virtual 3D Technician

BROAD FUNCTION
Virtual 3D Technician is responsible for creating accurate 3D garments that reflect design intent, construction, and fit for sportswear apparel. This role supports end-to-end product development by enabling digital validation, reducing physical sampling, and improving speed and decision-making across Design, Development, and Merchandising.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
·   Create high-quality 3D garments from Tech Packs (TP), sketches, and design inputs
·   Apply correct fabrics, trims, colourway, and graphics aligned with BOM
·   Simulate garment fit, stretch, and drape based on real material behaviour
·   Support digital prototyping to reduce physical sample rounds
·   Identify risks early (fit, construction, trim placement) before sampling
·   Execute size run simulations and highlight fit issues across sizes
·   Ensure accuracy in construction details (pattern seams, stitching, bonding)
·   Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Development, and Merchandising
·   Track style status proactively and support key development milestones
·   Maintain organized 3D asset libraries (fabrics, trims, blocks, versions)
·   Provide best practices to increase productivity.
·   To train new team members.
·   Own the style end-to-end—do not just execute tasks. Understand status, anticipate issues, and actively drive progress across teams.

·   Must have a strong understanding of garment construction and fabric types
·   Detail-oriented, ability to work under pressure and team oriented
·   Proficient skills in technical design, conducting/overseeing fittings, garment construction, pattern making, grade rules and translating the intent of Design into technical packages.
·   Proficiency and comfort in the use of technology to support Technical Design. It includes V-Stitcher, AccuMark, Ai
·   Know textiles, colours, style details and size specifications
·   Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
·   Ability to create and modify artwork/graphics
·   Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
·   Ability to handle fast-paced environment and change
·   A high degree of technical knowledge in woven and knit wears, be that in fittings, addressing a broader group, training.
·   Ability to train and motivate team members.
·   Possess leadership skills, project management skills, a high degree of ownership and integrity, a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and great stamina.
·   The ability to develop a technician's aesthetic eye. This implies a maniacal focus on consistency in technical fit plus attention to aesthetic fit.
·   Develop and build manuals that help maintain fit protocol and standards for brands
EXPERIENCE
/
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
·   3–5 years in 3D apparel, technical development, or pattern making
·   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Textiles/Clothing or related discipline
·   Knowledge in garment construction, pattern making, fit process in knit & woven apparels
·   Sportswear / activewear experience preferred

·   Strong ownership mindset (end-to-end style awareness)
·   Detail-oriented with high accuracy
·   Good communication and cross-functional collaboration
